Nah, Volvo is Ford owned. Skoda, Seat and Audi are all VW brands. So almost half the cars on the Reliable list are VW brands, not bad.

if everyone would just use the proper oils for their vw's, and used the right OEM parts, i bet vw would be at the top.  $$$$$$$$$$ but more reliability.

i've heard so many stories of people bringing their 1.8T to jiffy lube and get regular 5w30 dropped in...  cokes the turbo up and ruins the motor.  not vw's fault, but people still *** and complain about how it is.  honestly some people should have to take a course before owning a vw!  then again, i've heard some vw dealerships doing sketchy repairs themselves... in my local area they fully rebuilt a 1.9TD passat only to have it BREAK THE TIMING BELT AGAIN!!! gee i think they forgot the tdi crank bulletin?

i still think vw is the best.  toyota is a good one too, but only if you're a woman.   (or its an offroad vehicle   as they make some pretty sick suv/trucks!)

vw's are quite easy to repair... at least the old ones are

oh i've just condensed a vw ownership course for dummies into about 1 session... it starts with... "open your vw ownership manual..."

This is how we deal with porn spammers! You've been warned.
