VW LT pump 0 460 424 138 for mTDI?
« on: June 11, 2008, 05:36:28 pm »
I have found this pump at a scrapyard

It is a Brazil built 0 460 424 138.
Will the TDI 1.9 belt drive fit?
4 cyl LT pumps from around 97, 98 has been mentioned in this forum as suitable for mTDIs. Is this the PUMP?
If yes, what else changes has to be done to get a good mTDI pump?

to me that looks like a good pump to put on a mtdi but  the ofset of the pump pully could be out  due to that adapter plate

Yes, it is one of the best options. If you have a 1Z/AHU/AFN, the stock TDI pump pulley fits directly. If you have a later engine you'll need to swap over the hub and pulley both from the original electronic pump. This pump is as close to bolt-on-and-run as you can get. You''l want to run some bigger nozzles though.
