Just heard that people by the border are driving into Mexico to fill up, and that diesel is even cheaper than gas there.

if i'm the homer i understood it... but they couldn;t have chosen a worse country to make the pun with... however it was worth pointing out what "maltese" diesel implies (low quality/high price)... and honestly we're sick and tired of it
even joining the eu didn't get things any better (actually worse lol prices went up) but on the + side we can brew our own bio-diesel legally
maybe we can offer that to petrol direct in 3 flavours/scents...
also keep in mind that with the rate of efficency of the maltese post office if sent by christmas 2008 will arrive at easter 2009 ...

Don we are paying $2=60 per litre for diesel over here and our living standards are lower. So we have at least twice as much to complain about
Our postal service was taken over by the Dutch [at least the profitable parts] and our water by the French and our Electricity by the Germans. Our car industry by the Chinese and our food by the Indians. Our fruit by the Israelis... We do still produce most of our own potatoes though [good old Sir Walter Raleigh] Slave labour is covered by the Polish which is helping keep wages down to nothing.
Actually before I clicked links on the petrol site I was taken in and kept murmuring to myself about the impossibility of sending the stuff through the post[ /color]

Over here its 0.87 GBP per liter... if yours is 2.60 USD then its 1.33 GBP per liter? You pay more than us?
? was the $2.60 you wrote for normal diesel or maybe for shell high performance or similar?

$4.75 here
Makes my 124 mile commute to and from work VERY painful...
I think it's time to look for something closer to home, at this rate I could take a $5000.00 a year pay cut and make the same money if I can find something within 15-20 miles from home.
