I have smoke coming out of my coolant reservoir - General - VWDiesel.net The IDI, TDI, and mTDI source.

• I have smoke coming out of my coolant reservoir by VW on 08 Jun, 2008 21:09
• This is on an 82 Rabbit Non Turbo. It is also forcing water out of the reservoir . I assume the Head gasket is blown?

• Probably. But check the return line/hose first to make sure it's not clogged. If it's free, then yeah, probably HG.

    If its smoke and smells like exhaust your HG is toast.
