82 caddy vs 03 GMC Sierra
« on: June 05, 2008, 07:11:38 am »
So this last weekend after picking up a non running 1.6 with trans bolted to it and still having them in the bed of my caddy with the engine hoist my brother tried to pass me on a rolling start. I put the TDI right to the floor with a little black smoke coming out and until we hit about 65 he had no chance at passing me. since my 5th gear isnt working right now I ran out of RPM to keep pulling up in speed. his truck is a extended cab shortbox 4x4 with a 5.3 Liter V8 gasser. Definately got a little more respect for the old caddy know.

and If I would not have had traffic to deal with when 5th gear was working I could just muster up enough power and speed to pull away from his old 96 chevy with a vortec 350 gasser. its great to have the power and speed all while nocking down great mileage.

I am running a M-TDI with Giles Pump and 15 psi of boost.
