What do you folks think about using a gasser intake?
I have a VNT 15 to play with and there is plenty of room above it for a gasser intake,.. after a little grinding on the blowoff port.
Is there one that flows better than others?
Provides a more even flow to all 4 cylinders?
...or after seeing this post:

Well, I'm doing the same thing, putting a VNT on. I have a intake off a '79 1.6L gasser and it looks real good....you know long runners and stuff.(I think long runners are good :? ) But the EGR flange is in the way and a bigger problem is the vnt actuator is in the way too, and I need to use it so I guess I have to get a turbo intake.
BTW, I saw a set of 1.6TD intake and exhaust manifolds go on ebay for $227!!! :!: It's crazy what people will pay.
P.S. Do you have one of the vnt's that is part of the exhaust manifold? That might set it lower than mine which is removable from the mani.
Yeah, I have the one that's built into the exhaust manifold.

I think this idea is under explored. The stock manifold has some great features, like nice smooth even length runners. If you cut the baffle out of it I'd think you'd have a decent mani. Perhaps you could even leave the air cleaner where it is and blow through it?

That's a bad idea, you need filtered air for the turbo so are you going to put a filter on the intake (turbo) then blow it through a filter mounted in the intake mani?
Talk about restriction. Need to rethink that one a tad.
i would keep the na manifold but seal the two halves together and then use it for a turbo app
