Auto injectors on a standard pump?
« on: June 01, 2008, 01:05:57 pm »
My 03 TDI has had an occasional rough idle for a while now, I suspect one of the .205 nozzles I put in 180K miles ago are bad and pressure isn't always even across all injectors.

I can get a cheap set of Auto (.184) injectors, I figure worth it to both test and also have a set to use so I can send the old ones out for rebuild.

Question is since the auto cars have 11mm pumps and .184 injectors and the standards have .187 injectors and 10mm pumps, what will I get with .184 injectors on a 10MM pump???

Less smoke? less Power? higher mpg??

I knwo the difference is small but the auto were different for a reason right??

Auto's actually have something like .153 nozzles.  They suck on 5spd cars.
Waiting for a bigger better diesel to come along.
