I' hoping to add my 1998 TDI with 114k to that list, as well as my 1982 Rabbit 1.6D pickup too (once I paint it and finish the interior).

I have noticed the same thing for all of the older Diesel Volkswagens. Just shows how Volkswagen and other car companies need to bring some new Diesel cars over to the states. You can't go wrong getting a 2009 Jetta bluetec when they come out later this year. They will hold their value for years to come.
I would have though that the westy would have gone for more than that..
Have you guys seen what "gowesty" gets for good westies? And they almost never have Diesels in them, they sold one for $98k, with a gasser, completely insane.
