D24 front flange
« on: May 29, 2008, 02:56:46 pm »
I've got a D24 out of a 760 Volvo and i need to change the front crank seals. I know there is an oil pump fitting connecting to the front crank flange somehow. Anyone know what i need to do remove the flange. i have all the bolts off but it barely budges.

I'm pretty sure it's just stuck.  I had my oil pump off when I rebuilt the D24 last year and I don't think there is anything special.  Can't you change the front main seal without removing the oil pump?  Just pry it out and press in a new one?
