my head cracked between its valves the other day, so i bought a replacement head , i used the tappets that were in the new head, and the camshaft too.

but now its all bolted toether and timed up, it sounds like its going to drop to pieces   :?   All rattley and tappy noises.

could this be due to the tappets in the replacement head?

the cars also running like a N/A, no boost what so ever, and nothings been adjusted. the turbo spins up fine and is making 1.5bar, so surely i should have at least a little boost power?

Your head has solid valve lifters right? They are buckets with circular disks that control the clearance between the camshaft and valves. If you do, you need to measure the clearance between the camshaft and the disk with a feeler gauge and make sure they are all in spec.
