The previous owner of my 84 rabbit had the inside of the fuel tank lined/coated with fiberglass. Will using Biodiesel B20 cause any problems with the fiberglass treatment?........

yeah how did he do that, you would have to cut it up and weld it back together.

From what the PO told me, he empties the tank completly, removes it and takes it to a place that pours in some liquid solution, close it up and then ( I think) the tank gets turned upside down, back and forth until the solution adheres to the inside of the tank. He has all of his (metal) fuel taks done like this and never has to worry about a fuel leak.....But I'm not sure if B20 will react to the fiberglass lining.....

I had that done to the gas tank in my wife's old Chris Craft. Took it to Pat's Radiator in Kingston, Ont, they did a nice job. We've never had any problems with it, but I don't have any idea how it will stand up to B20.
If the "active solvent" in the bio-diesel is methanol, it seems that any workable gas tank liner should be resistant to that, as methanol blend gasoline is quite common in some areas.

Just grabbed a brand new tank for my 83' Mk1 up here in Niagara for $185.... Can't beat it considering the cost of repair to leaking tanks.
