I have one from a 98 Golf. I'd imagine it is the same.

I could meet you on the Canadian side of the boarder if you want.

I don't know much about the new stuff * I call it new as I have 84 Rabbit and 86 jetta * . As long as it would work for her and she wouldn't mind driving that far and how much $ I am sure she would go for it. She can't find one down here for under 600 dollars and they need work usually. I know the closest place for us is probably windsor area. Let me know.

Since I'd be driving to Windsor I'd want $300.
I don't know a whole lot about this new stuff either. I bought the car for the suspension. I can't gaurantee that it works, but the guy I bought the car from was driving it and said it drove and shifted just fine. The engine threw a rod right through the block though.

It would have to be on a weekend, most are open for me.

If the code matches I bet she would do it. I will tell her and see. She has one but the gear oil leaked out of the diff and ruined the case    . So maybe she can do what I usually do and make 2 into 1   that is if there is even anything wrong with it. I will call her today, maybe answer tonight. thanks burn your money.

the wiring harness between a 94 and 98 might not match... one reason i don't like automatics at all.   there's probably a way to make it work, but what a PITA
