Can I remove this heatshield stud that I've coloured in red
I want to turn the compressor housing round so the outlet points down and is between the wastegate actuator and the manifold but that stud and nut that fastens the heat shield is in the way
Hopefully if I can bin that stud and just have the heat shield held on by one nut the pipework will fit so I can route the pipework for my intercooler round the engine rather than over it.
Ignore the Volvo elbow, its the only bit of silicone pipework I have lying around, going to use it to see if it fits, then buy all the elbows, straights, and reducers I need to mount the big Volvo intercooler I am fitting infront of the radiator.
