FS: [Sold] M-TDI pump
« on: April 29, 2008, 03:46:26 pm »
I have for sale a 10mm M-TDI pump built on a AAZ basis, it is a pump which I builted 15 month ago, I bought these car and I sell it in parts, but I keep the engine, the pump has approximately 60000KM on it but it runs perfectly, idle fine and a lot of power.

I do not remember what parts I used in this pump, I think that It's a modified/welded parts.

I can open the pump to check if all It's correct.

400$ + shipping.

Got any more?

I was told by a post of mine in the FAQ about m-tdi that you are the person to talk to about getting a m-tdi pump?

He guys! I'm new to the vwdiesel board. Whats the M-TDi pump? is it similar to Giles pump? What do you do to the pump? I got a 95 AAZ and I'm looking at doing it up pretty soon but doing some homework first on getting the best set up. Love this site!

Cheers

m-TDI is mechanical TDI.  there's a writeup somewhere in the FAQ i believe.

since you're running a 95 AAZ you don't have a TDI, but it is possible to convert it to a TDI (isn't exactly cheap though...)

a Giles pump will boost power considerably, and even moreso if your current pump is old and tired.  intercooled is recommended

Hey jtanguay! Yeah I got the ol' AAZ and to say that my current pump is old and tired is an understatement! Along with the stock turbo as well....and the clutch...and some new motor mounts wouldn't hurt; man I got alot of work to do ! But once I get all the "little" things taken car of then I'll be throwing in a T3 and a Giles pump...and intercooled you say eh? What kinda of intercooler would you suggest? I heard of a few people running Sabb 9000 intercoolers, but if you know better than please fill me in! btw, do you know any HP #'s from people running Giles pump's with upgraded turbo's (T3, K24, etc....). Cheers buddy!
