stock pump, how much boost with blocked wastegate?
« on: April 16, 2008, 08:35:27 am »
1.6TD with a T3, 2.5" downpipe and stock 2" exhaust
With the wastegate blocked, should I be able to get more than 10psi with a completely stock pump?
Not sure if I should look for leaks/problems before I start to add fuel.

Any turbo should be able to make more than 10 PSI with a blocked waste gate, unless it's really big.

Im running a T3 on a 1.9TD with stock fueling and blocked wastegate and a modded boost pin....on a cool day I see about 20psi.....usually about 18psi.
My car still smokes like steam engine until it hits full boost, then its just a gray haze!!!!
