I still haven't blown mine despite running 24 Psi constant, with testing hitting 35psi+ all on the stock HG??? So...

For those who have blown HG's which side did it blow on. Head side or block side??? I am hoping that we have enough people whom have blown HG's to get a genral concensus as to which side they blow on.

I am hoping that always blow on the head side, as then I can just o-ring the head. However if it is a mix, then I will have both the block and the head done. As well as either a custom copper gasket or a metal 1.9 HG and of course studs.

All the failures I have seen are the result of the engine being overheated (usually being run low on coolant) and the cylinder head on the side opposite of the prechambers where the combustion chamber seals warping (either temporarily, or if it gets really hot then permanently) and lifting up away from the headgasket.  When the headgasket is not clamped firmly between head and block around the combustion chamber, tension between both headgasket and block and headgasket and head are reduced equally and gasses can escape past either side.

Thanks, I will o-ring them both, and make sure to watch my coolent level and engine temps.
