WTB- Turbo Oil return Line for 1.6TD
« on: April 12, 2008, 01:24:04 am »
I will be looking to rebuild my turbo soon and in the process i want to get a better return line since mine is leaking. I need the return line that goes from the oil pan to the turbo housing and I need one in good shape that was not known to be leaking when it was last used  :D

Anyone? if anyone even has a junkyard that has a good one and would not mind picking me one up i can buy. still needs to not have any leaks but TD parts are practically impossible to find here.

I just went hunting for you--apparently VW discontinued it in January of 2007 :(. I think that a spare or a junkyard is going to be your only bet.
Good luck!

I had my local hydraulic shop make me a new one.
they cut the flange end off (where it attaches to the turbo) and braised an AN style fitting on. then they made me a custom braided line for the rest of it.
cost me like $30.

thanks for the shop advice. Yeah the only response i get around here about any TD parts in salvage yards is a quick laugh and then a polite "sorry cant help you"  :(

thanks for the tip and for looking guys. appreciate it.
