I have a set of new 160 bar injectors that I would like to use on my 1.6 n/a diesel. Stock is 130. I bought them off e bay and can't send back. So if I can use them that would be great. Anybody else use higer rate injectores before? :?

I've used them and they seemed to work fine, but I didn't really notice any difference in how it ran. If you wanted to you could also switch the shims between them and your old 130 bar injectors to lower the opeing pressure.
i tried some experimental injectors last summer, that were set to 250. I had to skip the injection pump forward one notch on the timing belt because they needed extra advanced timing to offset the delay in firing. I kept advancing in increments and each time the performance got better, but the noise got louder and louder. By the time I got scared and stopped advancing, it sounded like a hino truck's diesel engine and performed like it still wanted more advance. I can say that 250 is too high.

I've got 55's in my 1.6 turbo diesel. The only difference that I can see is that I have to advance the timing to use them. I've got it set at .0415 (right on the line). Runs good, lots of power.
