Whooped some butt
« on: April 05, 2008, 08:28:04 pm »
Wohoo, I finally got to race someone off a stoplight, well actually two. The first, a Ford Escape(sorry, got to race in my same size class). I know he was trying, and even though I didn't start right when it turned green, and my clutch slips a little, I beat him handily, and left a good smoke cloud for the car behind me.  I know he was trying because at both lights, two lanes turn to one just past the light, and he got in the lane beside me from the lane I was in. The second, I hope he wasn't trying too hard or Dodge hemi trucks have crappy acceleration. This time at the light, I got in the lane next to him, and beat him, leaving a smoke cloud for the Escape from the previous time.

I try to race every now and then, but nobody can tell I'm racing.
'82 Rabbit, I put on a euro vnt-15, 2.25" DP, 2.5" exhaust, the result.....it whistled.

I removed the turbo, made a toilet bowl 2.5" DP, the result....it was deafening. Now it has a homemade muffler up front and a thrush in the rear, the result.....less loud.

Well, you probably could have easily beat me with my old gas engine. 42 hp and 3500 lbs doesn't get moving quickly.
