ive just tuned up my T3 (jammed a bolt down the waste gate hose)

im only hitting about 25psi so im guessing that sumthin is going on with the fueling shud be 30ish

i dont know what to do, if i boot it then stop it stalls but if if i keep it under 10psi its fine :roll:

its really annoying :evil:

my injectors wer never calabrated properly and it sounds like its missfireing because of this, cud that be the problem?

im gona swap em round wen i can get hold of sum shields

I've never heard of a diesel stalling after high boost :?

what is your engine idling at? maybe you need to adjust the residual fuel screw and idle screw.

too little residual and i suppose the engine winding down could stall itself? are you leaving it in gear or coasting to the stop?

i think your right.... ive heard of a dude that supercharged a 1.5 using a toyota blower - e was running big ratios on the pulleys and had 16psi boost at idle. residual fuel needed to be turned up because there wasnt enough power at idle to drive against the huge compression at that engine speed.

My engine has stalled out before with high power/boost.For me it ended up being the valve guide to valve stem clearance that was too tight.The higher Exhaust gas temperatures caused the exhaust valve's stem to expand and seize up in the guide.I'm not saying that this is your problem only that its is possible.

ye it just stalls when i coast, seems ok in gear.

duno if its related but my oil warning light has always flashed, thort it was a bad earth but ive noticed that the LED flashes more frequently after ive been booting it. i was thinking that maybe my stalling problem might be down to oil starvation, or is that unlightly?

ive just purchaced an oil pressure gauge to find out 4 sure

ill try changing back to my stock injectors and hav a play with the pump, see if that makes a difference

If you mean you have it floored, then let completely off, the turbo is probably surging. When I first put my VNT on and was playing with it in the garage before it had the actuator, it would surge, then stall the engine.

oh another thing, thort i already mentioned it :oops: . when the engine stalls it realy struggles to start up again, as in the starter wont actually turn the engine over.

the more i think about it the more i think its is the valve guide seizing :shock:

i cant see what else would prevent the engine from turning over freely.
this is seriously dangerous problem, if the cam pully brakes free then thats back to square one with everything, im gona change my head first thing :cry: unless sumone has a better surgestion

If you floor it and it stalls it could be a fuel problem. It happens at a time when you are asking fro more fuel.
I'd turn the engine over by hand to see how hard it turns when it won't start.
Do you have clear fuel lines?
Do you have a vaccum gauge on the fuel line to warn you of fuel line restrictions?

i doubt its the fuel lines, the filters new, and ive never had trouble before, only since my engine ran away on its own oil has this problem happend. i think that it must of damaged the head, fueling problem wouldnt stop the starter motor from turning the engine over. that takes sum doing

hmmmmm when you say that the starter has a hard time starting the engine.... this might not be the case, but what if the battery is getting weak? and that bigger 120 amp alternator you installed is putting a bigger load on the engine??? just a thought.

plus, metal on metal (lack of oil) isn't good for anything. better get that checked out asap. intermediate shaft bearings???

i hav had trouble with starting up in the past after relocating my battery so not sure if its related or not, my intermediate shaft seems fine, its definatly spinning, i wud notice my brakes being *** if it wasnt, i had a look at it 300 miles ago, it had no play and spun freely.

i took my turbo oil line off the other day to check if i had oil, and it gushed out.

im so confussed, i hav so many problems but dont know whats related to what :cry:

does your alternator have the one way clutched pulley??? maybe as an experiment you should disconnect the alternator so it doesn't put a load on the system, and see if it still stalls.

turbo surge is a good possibility. maybe you should look into getting a BOV?

relocating the battery with longer cables can add resistance to the starting circuit if the cables are too small.

what gauge wire do you have running to your starter from the battery, try to go as big as you can 0 or 00 if possible
