Just thought this was neat to see on tv. Watching Extreme 4x4 on spike tv they are gonna do a VW td engine swap into a sammi.

so if all of you who want to do it. Watch tv to see what goes on.

I saw it. They leave alot out, but still a good show.

I wonder if they will bring someone in who can charm the snake that is the VW 1.6TD  :wink: .

I've got one of those Acme adapters kits for converting a sidekick/tracker to diesel. For sale, if anyone's interested. braaaaaaand new.
I repair, maintain and modify VW's and BMW's.
Good work done at affordable rates. Welding and fabricating, too.

how much ?  and is it complete ?
1990 jetta , tweaked pump , tweaked turbo , ported head  2.5inch exhaust .

1993 dodge w250 , diesel ... removing the dead moose parts .

they use an Axis kit from rocky road..the left out a lot of info when they swaped the 1.6 in...like a custom flywheel and a Izusu starter that the kit required

hehe. My kit comes with a flywheel, and you use the suzuki starter.  :D

There is a lot of people i see around the streets here that are runnin in sidekicks and sammi's that arent running a vw diesel. pitty.

my rabbit is the first diesel i've owned and now i dont want anything other.

I saw the previews, I don't believe that they did much but swap it in.

Good show though, I learned quite a bit on welding and crap like that.

As far as Jessi Combs, I would do things to her that are illegal to do to farm animals in Alabama!
