Is this susspose to be a replcement part?I had my block bored and the machine shop took it out.Ive got it in there but it seems loose.
Cummins 4bta- 85 dodge prospector short bed
28 mpg!!and i can pull down a house!
1.6td in toyota pickup
10mm head ,t3 intercooled.

Wonder why? They bored mine with the tube in place.

i for the life of me can not get these things out... i dont know how you guys do it...i mash them everytime

mind you I dont have a slide hammer....is that the catch?

I think they took it out to do the magnaflux and bake -n -blast

Make sure it is bolted on tight.  If it is, and is still loose feeling, perhaps the forgot to put on the gromet / washer that goes on the bottom.

mine was loose too, I cleaned it up real good and used hi temp silicone to seal it.
