Ha, got a TD block...

Ok, I've got a TD shortblock on the way to me...so here is my question.

I believe the only difference betwene the NA and TD head is the valves are made of different material to handle the additional heat from the boost.

Is there any other difference, or when I rebuild my NA head, can I just have the TD valves installed?

Also, I want to make my own manifolds, is there anyone making the flanges to fit the intake and exhaust so I dont have to make those too?
I'll try being nicer, if you try being smarter...

From what I can gather from ETKA, after about 1982 or 1983, I think all the heads are made from the same material, with the same specs. According to the part numbers for the valves, both intake and exhaust are differnt numbers between NA and TD.

For a CY, these are the numbers I have:
INtake: 068 103 351 D
Exhaust: 068 103 611 D

So I should be able to put the TD valves in a TD block.

From everything I have read on here, the cam is also the same.

The motor is from a 92 Jetta, that shouldn't make any difference should it?

I need to find a TD IP also, if anyone has one laying around let me know what you need for it.
