jetta wont start

hey i just bought a jetta with a broken injector pump
 so i replaced the pump and managed to get it running but when i give it gas it wont rev up
but i know the injector pumps good

If it runs well then it sounds like something is up with the throttle positioning. Try revving the car by pulling directly on the throttle lever on the pump. If it still won't rev then it might have not been put together properly.

What do you have the timing at? Is there air in the fuel lines?
