IP on 93 1.9 td Questions

Hi.  as above I have a '93 1.9 TD and the ip is leaking.  Is $500 a fair price to reseal and put a new rod and bushing in the pump?  It seems high but I've never had this work done.  My mech doesn't feel comfortable with doing the work.  He said they always send them away.
I'm in Ottawa and dealing w/Diesel Injection Service (Ottawa) Ltd.
I know Gilles Pumps get phenominal feedback and are about double the rate.  What's the diff here?   I need advice on what to expect..

Thanks in advance

Greg

Giles pumps are full rebuild with full calibration.

You should give him a call, I think the price you are quoting is for a performance pump but I'm not positive.

Giles quoted me $650 or so to overhaul my pump a couple years ago.  As said before, the price you are thinking of is likely for an overhaul with the performance mods.
