You could also grind the pistons down, though you'd have to figure just how much to grind. But why would you want to put on a head that doesn't flow as well?

Hmm seen!!  i wud love to put a 1.9 head on a 1.9 block but the thing is i dont have the 1.9 head...

hmmm.....  im looking to run 1.6 MF turbo with 1.6 head and 1.9 block and will run abot 25 psi boost...  so i guess thats not possible like u guys have always said..

So if i get the 1.9 head and 1.9 block...  will the 1.6 MF turbo fit bolt onto 1.9 head? and will the IP from the 1.6TD fit as well??

Please reply soon.. i need to make the decision fast as im runnin late to order the parts..

If it's a 1.9, why would you want to use 1.6 injectors? However it will run with either.

well in my eyes the 1.6 injectors hav slacker springs so you can deliver more fuel, thats what i run although if sumone can tell me im wrong please do.

audi80s 225bhp aaz is running a 1.6 head, 1.9 block, 1.6 injectors

my mate thinks that the 1.6 head increases the gas speed and higher compression is a good thing too, aaz gasket should hold

tbh your probly best speaking to some one thats done it already

My friend is running a 1.9 block with a 1.6 head and 1.6 GTD injectors. He has had no problems with it and is running at least 22 psi if not more by now. The thing goes and as his dad says runs circles around their chipped Mk4 TDI Jetta.
