Coolant temperature sensor. Where?
« on: February 28, 2008, 03:50:58 am »
Sorry Guys for asking such a pedestrian question but unlike most of you I have not seen  my AAZ together and running before since it comes from a reman shop. I am not clear from my Bentley manual what the water temp sensor is . Bentley says it should be on the side of the head. Is it the only place? .  Is there a threaded hole somewhere in the head (back) where the sensor could be screwed on?

Thanks.

Keep it simple if you can.

should be on the right side of the head while your facing the engine from the front of the car....

There will be a front an a side water neck/flange and im sure you'll find a little golden sensor/nub type thing on side water flange... I do beleave its on that flange where the hose from the heater comes from!~

another member may have a better description and I may be totaly off but I think thats where you'll find it!
just trying to help!
good luck

I think it can also be on the front of the head. It does not physically attach to the head, but rather attaches to a coolant flange that bolts to the head
