Recently went to start my '82 VW indirect injection rabbit and I waited for the glow plug light to go off. My problem is that it does not. The key allows me to start the rabbit even though the glow plug light is still on. This is usually not the case. I am wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and found a remedy. The glow plugs are fairly new and are not my suspects at the moment. After five minutes has elapsed it shuts off but I am unusre of whether this is due to the temperature sensor being off or whether there is another fault in the system. Thanks for the time.
