True Inline Tranny Code Location
« on: April 05, 2005, 07:39:07 am »
I'm looking for the true location/ appearance of the tranny
codes for my 2 'Quantae' (1.6TD )
 As they tend to be such low maintenance items I don't think
I've ever studied the codes when out of the car...
Officially they are located in an awkward   crevarse   on the
lefthand side (5 speed) but  on the two I have in situ the
correct location just seems to have general part numbers.
My usual 'driver' does have a number on the top of the bell
housing of which the last two digits is a letter and number
that does coincide with a tranny code.
My other 'spares car' does not have anything stamped on the
bellhousing.
:?: Does anyone have a jpeg or accurate description of code and
location? :?:[/b]
