G60 valve cover gasket sure works slick!!!

I've been meaning to mention this here for a while but keep forgetting.

Are you tired of replacing leaky valve cover gaskets? Tired of that burning smell? Tired of those darn valve cover bolts always being loose. Tired of having to buy a new gasket every time you pull the valve cover? Well now you can get the amazing reusable G60 Corrado rubber valve cover gasket! A $5,000,000.00 value, (not available at Walmart, must be 18 to order) BUT WAIT, there's more!!! Order within the next 12 seconds and they will throw in a set of straight studs to replace the sholder studs you now have because the new gasket has washers molded in. How much would you pay for this? $500? $200 $50? Wel you can get it now for just $12.87 + shipping (I don't know how much they charge to ship because I pick mine up).

All kidding aside, these work perfectly. Not even a smudge of oil since I changed to them.

I get mine from Imports-N-sorts Inc. Renton, WA  Call Rob @ 422-277-9595, tell him Larry (with the diesel Samurai) sent you and make sure he sends you the valve cover gasket with the studs.

Their part# 037 103 483C

Either the G60 valve cover gasket OR the Canadian 1.8 8v mono-motronic gasket !

Worth every penny !

Agreed - I've been using this gasket on both 1.8 and 1.6 motors for years.  The only problem I've found is that when the holes in the valve cover itself are worn, or have "shoulder-marks" from being over-torqued over the years, you can get a little seepage at these locations.

I've found two styles of these rubber valve cover gasket that both fit a 1.5/1.6D.  One style is flexible and "limp".  Another style has some sort of metal backing molded inside and it's rigid.  Which one do you guys use and is one preferable to another?  I think right now I'm running the flexible/limp one.  I think the rigid one may be more expensive.

I buy mine from VW, and I'm not sure I'd call them reinforced, but they're not floppy either.  I'm pretty sure the part no is 051 103 483 A, for ACC code engine (1.8L from Golf CL)  Thy're about $25CDN from the Dealer or around $20 aftermarket, last I checked.

I think the Corrado G60 gasket (PG code) is a different part, but can be used as well - this may be the reinforced one.  If I recall correctly the Corrado valve cover is cast aluminium or something, isn't it?

The ones I have been getting from the above source are rigid and I highly recomend them. Price is right too.
