Well, if it's still available after this weekend, assuming I haven't spent too much $, I'm thinking about the AAZ pump. Then I could just pay for you to ship it to Giles and I would only have to ship him my head and injectors. I'd save on shipping over having my pump sent from CO to him, and I'd have a spare pump to screw around with.

True enough, I'm in Canada so shipping to Giles shouldn't be more than $20 or so

Items shipped this morning for:
-Hellious
-Burn_Your_Money
-Vincent Waldon
-BigVWman
PMs sent with tracking #s

I also dropped off the heads (1.6 & 1.9) to be hot tanked and checked for warpage & leaks.

I may drop off the 1.6 & 1.9 pistons to be cleaned on Monday.

Is it kosher to hot tank a turbo? The machine shop siad they have before, but I'd never heard of that.

I also found some bits that I'd forgotten about:

- 1.9TD 210mm clutch kit with only 20k kms... looks brand-spanking new: $80
(Normally I wouldn't advocate putting in a used clutch, but I hung onto this one because it was so good. I don't have a VW anymore so I don't need it)

-a 1.9 oil pump $20

I dropped some more stuff off at the machine shop to have checked out...

The AAZ pistons were in spec, but they have some scuffing on the skirts. I'll post pics here in a little while.

After being cleaned up, it became evident that the pistons had hit valves. The piston tops are fine.

All valves are seated, but I don't want to risk selling a head only to hear back that there were a couple bent valves, so I'll take $100 and whoever buys it should just plan on changing a few valves. Who knows, you may get lucky and they are all fine.

Hey folks,

I was away for work last week, and came back to read that someone had not recieved their stuff. If anyone else had issues, please PM me or email me.

I still have a couple shipping quotes to send out, will deal with those today.

Jake

Is that a TD or NA 1.6 head you most recently listed? Hydraulic or solid lifter?

[edit] D'oh, I feel stupid. If I'd looked at the site you gave, I could have had the answers. Ah well.

Still have the 1.6TD oil pan? I'd be interested in that, plus the oil filter flange and the oil cooler if those too are still available.

Head is TD, hydraulic.

Yes I still have the oil pan + flange + oil cooler. Send me your zip code and I'll work on a shipping price.

Jake, the alternator arrived today. No shipping issues, considering it was shipped yesterday. I'll try to get it installed this weekend.

Feedback for this seller: great guy to deal with.  :D
