Author Topic: Will a 1.8T exhaust maniflold work on a 1.6TD? (Read 2426 times)

I am wondering if a 1.8T exhaust manifold will bolt to the 1.6TD head. You can get some nice ones on Ebay for $100 or so. They have them with the standard T3 rectangular flange, too.

Not a chance. If you want an ebay manifold look for the cast 8v manifolds. They're all over ebay.

Can you use a stock 1.6TD intake or do you need to go with a gas intake also?

With the ebay 8v manifold you could use either.

i got an ebay 8v gas exhaust mani,
I had to grind my intake gas manifold a little in a few spots. Not too much, but three or four spots were hitting. Maybe the exhaust mani was designed for a cross flow gas head.
