more fuel n' air

84 TD

stupid question... I want more fuel, max rpm bolt or max idle bolt? I moved the max rpm one today and didn't notice a whole lot blacker smoke and I moved it probably 5 threads out and adjusted the cable so it would pull the whole way.

another dumb question, simple grainger vavle (MBC) would work on the wastegate right?

yep grainger valve will work nicely!  run some hose under the dash and control boost while driving down the road :D

hope you have some gauges (egt, and boost) before you up fuel + boost though

yes, I will use a boost gauge I only plan to turn it up to 12ish psi to be safe and add a little bit of fuel so it puff's black but doesn't leave a cloud. (basically how it looks stock just alittle bit more) and I will be intercooling it so these mountains around here I climb don't raise my egt's too much.
