Hi All,
I just acquired a K14 from a 2.5 Audi for a decent price. Any thoughts on what effect it'll have on a TDI and how much power it's capable of? It has to be better than the miniature K03
Thanks!

Mine would make up to around 20 psi on my AAZ, but I'm not sure how that would translate into power on a TDI. It spooled fairly quickly.
Thanks Jimfoo
Things have changed a bit now - I also have a sort-of-scrap K24 which cost me nothing
As far as I can tell the compressors are identical between the 24 and the 14, but the 24 has a larger turbine:
K24 on the left, K14 on the right

The K24 has a larger inlet, but tapers to the same size compressor wheel as the K14.
The exhaust turbine is bigger on the K24 (again on the left)

What effect would the different sizes have, given the same compressor?
Also can anyone tell me what flanges they both have please? (K24 on the right this time)

The K24 has a bit of shaft play, and is missing the wastegate, but I think I can use the one from the K14 if I need to.
Assuming there is enough fuel, etc, what sort of power/tq would either of these make on an AHU TDI? I'm hoping for 180hp/300lb/ft (flywheel).
Thanks, Mikki
The K14 is definately better than the K03, A K03 It's it is a driving assistance to reduce smoked, not to produce HP..... I'm wrong, but It's an example...  K14 are a good daily turbo around 18PSI to max 4000RPM.
K14 is very commun in AAZ, and I often saw this turbo being destroyed after one month when is set more than 18-19psi.
I dont know what HP both can produce, But It's a old technology turbo and create much Hot compressed air and there are an "oil leak" turbo.
Anyway, look at the Map for both turbo and you will have an precise answer.
140-150HP for the K24 is more realistic.
That doesn't look like a k24 at all, it looks like a VW turbo diesel k14.
