self adjust clutch problem

Changed eng and trans , now the clutch wont release conpletly,with a self adjuster type,how to relieve some adjustment
89 jetta oil burner,71 bronco, 95 power stroke

can't remember how i did mine... i think i got my brother to go in and press the clutch twice.  (fully in & fully out) then i grabbed the cable from the tranny arm and pulled it down as much as i could. told him to release and it's been fine ever since  :wink:

This is how you fix the problem:

Buy a manual adjust cable.  You will have less problems in the future.  I can't stand self adjusters.  Can't stand...
