My uncle gave me a "nos",wet shot nitrous bottle!!!!Its brandnew!!!Now is it legal to plumb and carry nitrous in your car on the road?Can it be used succesfully at the track,without blowing up?

yeah can't really hurt anything. do a search theres alot of info about running nitrous... how ever i think with diesel u run a dry shot no matter what. since wet=with fueling and dry=with out. not sure though haha. i don't know on the legality of it either, i don't see why they would make it illegal thats lame, why not make high compression high power gas cars illegal, or make turbos and superchargers illegal.

here in Canada its illegal... some guy had this 800 hp car at one of the local bars... he got busted big time :lol: i mean i was following him and i saw the bottles just hangin out the rear... :roll:

i guess they're too affraid of the tanks exploding. (and with enough idiots with NO2 out there, it would happen)

with gassers you can expect things like pre-detonation or pinging with the NO2. i couldn't see the harm on a diesel either way. NO2 could be a way to turn an N/A into a turbo (but very expensively...)

nitrogen to cool the charge, and oxygen to help burn.

Thw bottles brandnew and FULL!I dont know if i can run this on my engine.I would have to mix it with the diesel? :? Can i run a line to the intake,and mix it that way?What is this thing worth to the gassers?Im running a turbo,is this to much air?

Bro, you need to be very careful with that stuff if you are going to run it in your car. It can and will cause your engine massive damage if used incorrectly. I know enough about it, to know I dont know how to use it safely. I have seen it hooked up to a 1.9TDI on a motorsport show. It was an English clip. They had a computer based fumigation system. Made a huge difference. Sys came on at WOT.
Car had to pass a semi in the test. With nitro, the car made the pass MUCH quicker, in a couple hundred feet shorter distance.

Potential for big power. Potential for big damage. Research, research research. (and then post photo's of your setup :wink: )

theres a guy at helford near me that is running £2000 of nos kit in a polo gt on carbs.

if you can use it in that chicken chaser u can run it in anything.
obviously i wud know what ur doing b4 u try

. although aparently nos isnt actualy flamable it just allows you to burn more fuel.

pure oxygen is very flammable though... (with a fuel source) basically just helps stuff burn... don't believe me? just fill a small room and then light a match... and go ahead and fart a little bit for effect :lol: j/k!

i'd have no problems running NO2 myself in a diesel. just start out using small quantities of it and work your way up. if you dump that stuff in your diesel could get super hot and start burning/cutting stuff. oxidized metal :shock:

yea run that into your intake. its like adding an intercooler and more boost.

i think what most people don't realize is that the NO2 itself doesn't really add power. its more fuel. so increase your fueling accordingly and you will see less black smoke out the back, and more butt dyno action! :twisted:

i think the best idea for you is to take off the elbow on the manifold and then drill & tap it for the NO2 injection system. have it boost controlled (to come on at 10 psi) that way the NO2 is injected and then evaporates quickly, taking a lot of heat with it to cool the charge and more oxygen to burn more fuel.

just use the nitrous 'dry'
start with a small jet at first, and aim the nozzle into the turbo inlet if you're not intercooled. If you have an intercooler, install the nozzle (or fogger) just after the I/C to allow sufficient mixing time.

Have it work off an arming switch and a seperate full throttle switch.

You'll find that as you go up in jet sizes, your minimum activation rpm will increase as well. That is to say a mild jetting can be used as low as 1500rpm. Bigger jets will cause the engine to make bad knocking noise if you 'hit it' at too low an RPM.

start small, work your way up until you don't find any improvement by going bigger. Listen carefully for bad sounds and let off immediately if you do.
