I need to fit arch repair sections to my rear arches where as there a bit rusty in places, to extend them do I buy an extra set of repair sections cut the lip off the and cut up a second set of front wings and repair plates weld em on grind the welds down and use filler to blend them in? :| I'll also be filling the holes for the side trims then respraying the whole car satin black
From what I've seen from other peoples projects is they notch the stock flairs, pull them out and weld in filler metal. Then grind and smooth.
I just uploaded the photos to photobucket. What do I do now?

Yeap. That's how I've seen it done as well. Looks good when done but I can imagine it would be hard to make them all even. I wouldn't mind seeing a picture of some. Haven't been able to find any
I'll post some pictures if someone could tell me how. I just placed them in photobucket. I apologize for my ignorance.
Go to your pictures in photobucket and copy the url from the address bar on your browser:
eg: url= "

Then to post them here, type the following code into the message body of your post:

There are also buttons below the subject field which will type the codes in automatically for you.
Looks good up close! I still think it would be hard to keep even on all corners

Maybe if I have some time.
It looks like he took air snips and carefully cut the lip from the body leaving the two bases of the wheel well arch uncut. Then bent it out a few inches, tacked in some spacers, cut and rolled some metal, welded it in, and did the remaining bodywork. It doesn't look too tough, but then again, I'm not a bodyshop guru.

As long as it's close I don't think anyone would notice. Of course it all depends on what you are going for
