Author Topic: Oil Temperature sender on 1.6 vs 1.9 idi (Read 2869 times)

I was doing a final checklist to see if I am missing any bits for the 1.6na to the 1.9aaz conversion and got bogged down on the oil temperature sender bit... On the 1.6 the oil pump/filter attatchment has 2 senders (Below)
-A- for oil pressure light sender
-B- for oil temperature in the dash

the 1.9aaz has a different shape oil filter/arm/attatchment point with just the oil pressure light sender. Can I replace he oil filter arm/attatchment and use the one of the 1.6 in order to keep the oil temperature display working in the dash? They look similar enough but there was limited information on the workshop manual, and the part numbers are different. If the 1.6 does not fit does anyone know which arm with 2 senders as opposed to 1 could i use?

the NA one will not fit. The mounting bolts will not line up

The AAZ oil filter mount has an extra port for the oil temp sensor. It usually has an allen head plug in it.
