I need a new exhaust for my 1.6TD, very very soon the whole thing is rusted so bad I am going to hack some of it off so it doesn't cause an accident in the near future.
where is a good place to get something bigger than the factory one?

For an 84? I think your best bet is to take it to a local muffler shop and have them bend you one from 2.5" tubing. I had one custom made that way in about an hour for $300, including muffler. With the turbo, though, you don't even need a muffler unless your State/Province requires one. Just run the pipe to the rear edge of the rear bumper.

Many places sell exhaust systems for Rabbits. Techtonics even offers a 2.5" system. Every aftermarket performance exhaust I know if is mandrel bent as well.

yeah I went out and bent up 6" and down and pulled the piece from the rear axle back out from under tha car, quick use of the sawzall and $9 later for a tail pipe extension and clamp my car now has side exit and once again im loving the sound of audible turbo spool.

I basically have the same turbo on my daytona and I ran that thing open DP for 6 months during the summer... no need for music
