I have attempted to search this forum so not to bother you guys, however, it doesn't matter how many ways I've searched I can't locate the paticular info I need.
I want to remove the inlet manifold completely to clean it on my '94 Golf TD
I have managed to scoop loads of crap from it but it's not a proper job with it still attached.
I can locate all the hex studs and remove all but the one infront of the turbo.
I can get the rounded end of my extra long hex key into the stud but at an insufficient angle so when I apply force it slips, there must be a simple solution to this. Can someone advise or at least point me in the right direction for an answer please.
Also once fully cleaned, is the pressure release valve and the breather from the sump absolutally necessary. I've read a couple of threds with people adding intercoolers as is my plan and this part of the manifold is reversed and the breather valve inlet blanked off, if this is the case I would not have to clean it again.
Please advise
