if you've got the boost return section you can use it as a square to round transition. I cut off the little tube with the butterfly, welded the opening shut and I think the inlet is 2 1/2" OD. Heres the pictures posted by RabbitGTDguy

An engine brake. Close the throttle during deceleration to generate intake vacuum and an engine braking effect.

Is that picture of the throttle body ,before it got closed up?It doesnt seem like you would be able to run a pipe off of that?

it isn't the throttle body, its the boost return section which bolts to the TB.

Yes, that is right. It is the boost return section of the G60 throttle body. I don't believe I put a pick of it up "unmodified" but you do need to gut the boot return valve out of it, do a little fine cutting (I with my dremel) and then weld the section close that you don't want to use. Its worked perfect for me with NO problems. I think the hardest part was finding someone willing to get rid of the boost return section of the throttle body without trying to sell me the TB at the same time.

dremel? fine cutting?
i used a hacksaw
cut off the whole deal and welded an aluminum plug in place.
What are you using for an exhaust manifold?

Great...i had more fun with the dremel and ended up making it nice and flush just how I wanted it. By fine cutting, I didn't mean any surgeon stuff... I just prefer the dremel
my manifold is a 8v backset t3 manifold. Its in the thread if you want to find it...

Well...kinda can't see what you have (did you try to post a pic?) but the pictures above REALLY kinda show you the piece that you need... if you don't have the G60 throttle body/boost return section as part of the intake manifold....then no...you probably don't have the piece. Again, its part of the throttle body from the G60....just bolts to the throttle body...
I'm actually good up something even better and new this winter for the intake manifold on my mTDI...fun fun.

I know your thread. It's helped me a lot. Great thread. I got the same g60 intake and gas t3 exhaust manifold because of you. I was asking the original poster
