Author Topic: 10mm Tee So I Can Install Oil Pressure Gauge??? HELP (Read 4400 times)

Ok, Bought a oil pressure gauge for my golf. Problem is the idiot light sensor is 10-mm. I was planning on getting a tee and running the pressure gauge off the same connection but I can't find 10-mm x 1.0 tees anywhere. Anyone else had this problem?? Any suggestions?? I don't want to gorilla the fitting into working. :shock:

some cars have an extra port on the oil filter housing. i think its an allen type block that you unscrew and screw in whatever you need

you could try 3/8ths... i was going to do that once. it is just a little bit small, but you can compensate with some teflon tape or something..

10 millimeters = 0.393700787 inch
3/8ths of an inch = 0.375 inch

barely noticeable?

Hmmmm let me check.........

I have another hole about 1 1/2 - 2" above the oil pressure light hole, but it doesn't look like a allen size nut i tried 7 mm too small 8 mm too big. Am I imagining things or is it Square inside the hole??

square ? hmmm i've never actually tried to remove the piece, but i will probably try someday

man i want to buy these tee's! nobody has them and im not paying $20 for shipping. but i might crack and suck it up

I considered it, but I would like the added alert of a buzzer and flashing light in my main cluster.
