kind of off topic but i wonder if there were any bmw 318 ix with a diesel.. i dunno if it would be a different model name. and i know that the older one i drove around was IX and the newer ones i see are XI. or visa versa (sp? lol.. )

Why not get yourself a T3 syncro pickup with the 1.6TD engine? Theyre not uncommon. In a way VW already did the job for you!
