word on the street is that bio diesel kills pump seals, i was wondering if anyone knew what was involved in changing them, mainly how do you take apart the pully side of the pump?

also does anyone know a place to get these ugrade seals from on the cheap?

Do a search on the forum. Pump resealing has to be the most talked about subject on here. I swear there is a new thread on it every week!

Call around to find a shop that specializes in Bosch Diesel pump rebuilds. I have one that is local to me and I buy seal kits all the time from them.

Its not really that hard to replace the seals, like IVY suggested, use the search and look in the FAQ. There is plenty of info there.

You will need a puller to pull the gear off of the pump. Sometimes a quick rap with a punch and hammer can break it loose too. Oh yeah, dont forget to take off the nut before you try to remove the pulley ;)

props on the spelling effort

Just for some more info on whether / not the seals are destroyed by B100, here's an earlier thread where it was talked about quite a bit:

100% Biodiesel / Seal Repercussions Thread

Hope that helps!

By the way - sweet ride.  :D
