After buying it, shipping it from Alaska for $700 and rebuilding it twice, I don't think I have $5000 in my motor, nor would I ever pay $4000 for a paint job. Must have had VW put in a new motor and paint the thing.

Maybe the $4000 in paint includes all the welding needed to patch all the rust holes.  :P

sure i'd like to see pics. of it ! and then i can compare to one of my trucks!
better be good? cause i own a world of wheels winner!and a 10 year show winner of first places and a few best of show in there too! i have 27thousand stuck in mine. i'll be luckey to see 5 k if i ever sell it?

mine cost me $1K and I drove it home, from new mexico.
i really hope I have a caddy worth $10000 some day.
