What parts to look for?
« on: December 17, 2007, 09:19:51 pm »
Hey all,

I frequent the local parts yards and keep my eye out for good parts, rare parts, and any aftermarket goodies.

I was wondering if there is anything I should be keeping my eye out for as far as diesel engine related stuff like fly wheels, intake and exhaust manifolds ( gas and diesel), transmissions, alternators, p/s pumps, turbos, etc, you get the idea.

Also any body and interior stuff to look out for too, Wheels?

If I come across anything that anyone needs that's hard to find or whatever I'd be more than happy to pick it up.

Let me know what you think.

In California its probably not much of an issue but up here the rain kills power door lock switches..  At $150 ea to replace they are worth taking a door panel off for.

Also look for MK4 single DIN shelves, cup holder, and ceter consoles/arm rests

Trailer hitches get a pretty penny also.
