Fuel pump(s)?

Could somebody school me on the1996 1.9L TD fuel pump system?
Is there an electric pump in the tank?
If so, would it hurt the pump to run it constantly for about 12hrs with the car off?
I'm getting at the problem of parking in -25degC locations and gelling etc.

The 1.9 fuel system is pretty much identical to the 1.6D/TD. There is no in-tank pump. I would think that the best insurance against gelling would be to use a commercial anti-gel agent when it gets that cold.
