ok I started to go through my injector sets to see what i had.
i was wondering if anybody could tell me what a few of these go to. so many times i come across a td that has the 130bar injector in it but when i took them apart i am finding all kinds of mismatched nozzles in them.
people realy screw things up sometimes. anyway here goes

DNO SD 273 i think it was a 1.6na they came out of, is this correct?

DNO SD 293 these were in a 130bar holder that were installed in a 1.6 td but obviously the wrong pressure for a td

DNO SD 297 92 eco diesel td. these should be correct since i am the original owner of the car, although it did have the injectors changed for some recall back in 93?

DNO SD 308 any ideas? 1.9 td maybe?

DNO SD 1510 0 these may be peugeot 2.3td again any ideas?

can anyone list what was supposed to be in vw 1.6 na and td from 82 to 92, so i can test and see if they are worth saving

BTW i have a 83 rabbit gtd with a cy engine code, anybody know what injector belongs in this car. a real *** worked on it and managed t do things to it that i thought were impossable. it had 4 different injectors in it, among a lot of other things. but i bought the car because the owner bought a brand new top line head for it that was sitting in the back seat along with a bunch of other stuff. he thought the head was cracked that was on it, but that head was very good with no cracks between the valves. he reused the headbolts and had a 1.6 gasser gasket in it. he said when he tried to start it after the gasket was chenged, it blew the radiator cap off! the coolant tank. so he thought it was a bad head. needles to say i paid $100 for a new head and a good running car after i fix the screwups in it. :lol:

Not sure of the nozzle codes as the only one I have open in front of me is DNO SD 288 and it came out of a Ford... I'm about to create a compression tester out of its body for my 'Q' and I didnt want to take apart my spare TD injectors. however the CY TD is what I have and it takes 155bar injectors which I believe is all that matters( ie if it physically fits and does have the correct breaking pressure /spray pattern then it'll work.

yes it will work, it worked on 130Bar. (some idiot got in there and just wanted to waste $$$. But if i have to small of a injector (eg 255) i will not get the power i should and if i turn up the pump to compensate i will get black smoke as if it was being over fuel'd. with a small nozzle it takes longer to inject the same amount as a bigger nozzle, so it would still be burning fuel at the end of the power stroke creating smoke when the exhaust valve opens and ends the power stroke. so if i were to put in a bigger nozzle that the td's had, it would shoot the proper amount of fuel in very quickly so it had time to burn compleatly before the exhaust valve opend, along with the proper amount of air. It should burn clean and have power. across the pond you have great diesel fuel. we have yankee piss in the usa. Full of sulfur, and it tends to burn dirty sooty.

hello, dnosd 273 where 1.6 gtd golf in Europe with 155 bars pressure, i put these nozzles in my 1.9 td.

dnosd 308 where 1.9 td AAZ, dnosd 297 1.9 NA, both type nozzles where mount in audi 1.9 td aaz with 155 bars pressure.

i am starting to sort the nozzles out and test them. some are brand new in the box.

What is the exact difference between the SD 293 and the SD 274 injectors?

I've got a JR (70hp with standard SD293, 9mm pump) which I'm getting ready to replace the 1.6NA in my caddy. I picked up a pump and injectors from a SB engine (80hp, SD274, 9mm pump) today...

Both have 155bar holders right?

What is the exact difference then?

Is there a difference between 130 bar and 155 bar holders? I have some rebuilt injectors that had the rubber pieces on them that the 155bar injectors have, but when I took off the rubber, it says 130bar on the injector body. They are obviously 130 bar injectors that have been rebuilt as 155bar injectors. I guess you can do this, can you?

AFAIK the openingpressure is related to the type of spring used..
