• NA or TD, don't shim the intermediate spring.  It isn't going to gain you anything other than a car that's a PITA to drive.  The main spring is the RPM limit.

• you only want to shim the main spring. period. end of story. never shim the intermediate. it makes your throttle hang and makes it hard to hold a steady rpm cruising down the road.
