head stud service bulletin?
« on: December 01, 2007, 10:05:13 am »
Long time ago I remember hearing about a VW bulletin that said it was OK to use Raceware or ARP style head studs on diesels with problem head gaskets.  Anyone have a copy or know of an archive to find said old bulletin?

Reason I ask is I am building a motor to autocross and rules say you can't use upgraded parts unless the factory says you can.  I need that peice of paper saying its "ok" or use of head studs is possibly illegal for class.  Seen too many problems with stretch bolts over the years and want to use studs, no questions asked about legality.

My eyes are crossed from the search results here.  At least I get lots to read.     And yes, I'm chatting with Jake, FSPGTD, about this project.
